If Christians are looking forward to Heaven and eternity with Jesus, why do we allow ourselves to be bored and boring when we gather to worship?

Bored and Boring – Week 1

Themes: What does Jesus think about wedding receptions? It’s rarely something that Believers consider. Is the occasion something to get emotional about? Is it only a obligation or a cherished event?

Bored and Boring – Week 2

Themes: What elements of your wedding reception made you happy or brought you joy? What qualifies as a boring celebration? What excited or captivated you? What were you looking forward to?

Bored and Boring – Week 3

Themes: Contrasting the difference between a wedding ceremony and wedding reception. Music, dancing, food, beverages and people are key parts if a joyous reception.

Bored and Boring – Week 4

Themes: How do we worshipfully practice “love” and “judging”? Legalism. Rule following vs. genuine application of Scripture. When we acknowledge that Jesus is Lord, our thinking, behavior and speech should reflect Jesus’ teachings, principles and conduct.

Themes: What is your personal expectation of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? Should church/worship be fun? How can church/worship be enjoyable? What does “all in” really mean and look like?

Themes: Let’s explore joyfulness and happiness. How does/should the Believer demonstrate their joy or happiness? How should Believers celebrate what we preach?

Themes: Personal transformation readies us to be of service. Exploring the “approach and ask” idea. The immediate impact of immediate service. The importance of developing real relationships.
