Text: Ephesians 5:21-33, Ephesians 6:1-9
Throughout the book of Ephesians Paul teaches that Jews and Gentiles who are in Christ make up a new humanity sharing every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3). These blessings include the truth that we are worth one Jesus, plugged into one power source, and uniquely crafted to accomplish one mission. Paul goes on to challenge the Ephesian believers to live in alignment with who they really are. Unforgiveness and impurity are two existential threats mentioned by Paul which knock us out of alignment. Dysfunction in household relationships is a third.
