Sermon text: Leviticus 16:1-34
In this chapter of Leviticus God provides Israel with a way to come back into relationship with Him, even though His holy presence is dangerous because of human sin. Through the sacrifices and the work of the high priest, God shows both the seriousness of sin and His deep desire to dwell with His people again. Ultimately, these sacrifices point forward to Jesus, whose death tears open the veil and makes a full and lasting way back to God’s presence possible.
